This Italianate style home is sure to turn heads in the heart of uptown New Orleans. The unique facade has a 7-part custom blend of historically correct cementitious stucco, reminiscent of the historical buildings of the French Quarter. When you step inside, you’ll discover every inch of this home has been thoughtfully and carefully designed to bring together a tasteful blend of all the customers favorite styles: Art Deco, gothic glam, traditional, and bold minimalist.
Some of the more notable features include the reflective high gloss wood floors throughout, book matched stone in the kitchen, 24k gold leaf ceiling, black fine paints of Europe on the cabinets in the dining room and the bedroom ceiling, oversized statement mirrors, a powder bath with French damask velvet wallpaper and mirrors that create an “infiniti experience,” and a mix of gold and silver details throughout.
And of course, no project would be complete without the gorgeous custom details that are the signature of working with JL Studio: the light fixtures are custom designed by JL Studio, custom plaster moldings made for the dining room, locally commissioned artworks, and a custom designed metal bed frame with crystals, brass details and crushed velvet upholstery.
As part of a master suite renovation, we decided to do a full new construction to truly create the closet of our clients dreams. We built out onto the existing outdoor patio for this gorgeous walk-in closet. This stunning space boasts floor to ceiling mirrors, a gorgeous chandelier, and plenty of space for her extensive wardrobe, accessories, and shoe collection.
JL Studio was hired to design this ultra contemporary home from the ground up in the Lake Vista area of New Orleans. The homeowners brought in JL Studio 3 years ago to revise the architect's floor plans, lighting plans, and wall elevations before breaking ground on this new construction home. We were able to rearrange the kitchen and dining layouts to create a better sense of flow and to give more symmetry to the design. Some of the key features in this home are the kitchen hood wrapped in stone, a staircase of solid wood treads with glass balustrade, a floor-to-ceiling marble book-matched fireplace, and a custom 10-foot long trough sink in the master bathroom, just to name a few. We spent countless hours designing this beauty and it’s been a blast to watch our vision come to life from the ground up. We could not be happier with how this home turned out!
JL Studio was hired to examine and revise the Architect's floor plans before breaking ground on this 13,000 sq.ft. home in Gabriel Estates. After the floor plans were finalized, Jacquelyn assisted with the exterior and interior finishes. It's a lovely mix of classic french bones and rustic, modern finishes. The mansion features real wood floors throughout, quartzite countertops, intricate ceiling designs, marble baseboards, revolutionary invisible surround sound speakers, an elevator,a gym with vaulted ceilings, a pool complete with an open-air gazeebo and more!
While it is not JL Studio's cup of tea to design hospitals, JL Studio was delighted when they got the call to do East Riverside Vet Hospital because the owners were adamant about making it feel "modern, edgy, warm and inviting." In today's world with social media, it's crucial for any business, even a vet clinic to have "instagrammable moments." We all know how much everyone loves their pets, so even the pet photo ops are important! For ERVH, JL Studio incorporated oversized wall murals to bring a fun energy into the exam rooms, as well as a heavy use of greenery to bring in some life. When you think of going to the eye doctor, chances are you probably think of a cold, clinical feeling while being at your appointment. You may even dread scheduling a visit to the eye doctor! When JL Studio was hired to design Eye Wares Nola, JL Studio envisioned a completely different and high end, elevated experience. After all, Eye Wares isn't just an optical, It's a retail boutique that sells the most upscale, designer exclusive eyewear brands like Cartier, Gucci, Chanel and more. The mission of the project was to design a chic optical and boutique that would cater to an affluent clientele, complement the products, inspire customers to purchase frames and entice them to keep coming back for more. In this design, JL Studio completely re-branded the existing business by changing the logo and color palette to better fit the location, which is in the heart of Uptown New Orleans on Magazine Street. The color palette was inspired by the historical color tones in New Orleans Architecture with a sophisticated Mardi Gras flare. All of the elements were carefully curated together to encompass a tasteful mix of different styles. The entire store was custom designed and each of the pieces were created by local artisans, for example the plaster ceiling ring, the 14' tall brass atrium, the animalistic artwork and so much more! Once the store was complete, JL Studio even had the pleasure of planning and hosting the grand opening event, which turned out to be a smashing success! JL Studio worked with Landis Construction to bring this new construction to life.

After the floor plans were finalized, Jacquelyn met with the builder and homeowners on a weekly basis in order to make sure the vision for the home was properly implemented.
JL Studio was hired to revise the Architect's plans for this 7,000 sq.ft. new construction home in the Park of Plaquemines in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Jacquelyn rearranged the Architect's drawings to give the homeowners a better sense of flow and to create emphasis on certain focal points. After the drawings were complete, Jacquelyn met with the homeowner and builder weekly on the job-site in order to ensure a beautiful end product. The style of this home is the perfect mix of relaxed transitional and sophisticated-modern. The home features a 24' two story living room with catwalk, a glass-enclosed temperature regulated wine cellar, a state of the art movie theatre room, and a full blown outdoor kitchen with fire pit. The home is completed with a cutting edge pool design that includes a sunken bar, tanning ledge, hot tub, and boccee ball court!
Check out this 10,000 sq.ft. custom new construction home in Gabriel Estates! This mansion exemplifies the juxtaposition between traditional and modern. Due to the neighborhood rules on exterior facades, it was required that the home have a traditional exterior. However, the client wanted a contemporary interior. This home features unique design elements inside such as a two-story custom chandelier, stone staircase, waterfall edge countertops, modern thermofoil slab style cabinets, a full blown bar with gravity glass perfect for entertaining, a glass enclosed wine cellar, retractable glass walls, skylight ceilings and more!
This was a renovation and addition to a classic shotgun home located in the historic uptown of New Orleans, Louisiana. This house was fully gutted and then added onto to create a larger, open living area and a second story. A big feature in this home is paneled walls; we were able to aesthetically lay them out to compliment the windows and wall sconces in the staircase. There are three different sets of book-matched marble stone; one in the master bathroom shower, one on the kitchen hood wall, and one on the island. We had the kitchen hood painted by our faux finisher to resemble matte black steel. We love the look of two-toned cabinetry in the kitchen. Black cabinets are becoming more and more accepted and often times requested by our clients and we are loving it!
JL Studio was hired in the spring of 2019 to design this new construction pool for a home in Old Metairie. JL Studio selected all the finishes including the decking, coping, splash tile, plaster, water wall finishes, fire bowls, fencing, landscaping and more! JL Studio also did drawings for the furniture layouts and landscape beds. We are currently waiting on the furniture cushions, a custom fire-pit table and greenery to go on the fence wall! Who needs to go on vacation when you can step right out to this beauty!
The Elmer's brought in JL Studio to design this cute cottage style home before they selected an Architect or Builder. Jacquelyn was a part of the design process from the get-go. She fine-tuned the Elmer's plans and picked all the finishes and fixtures throughout the home. The end result...A cute cottage style home perfect for Allen and Courtney to start a family!
JL Studio was hired to design this Greek Revival Style Home from the ground up. Jacquelyn revised the Architect's floor plans and window elevations to give the homeowners a better flow and harmonious aesthetic. The project is located on Robert E Lee Boulevard in New Orleans. It's 6,000 sq.ft. under-beam and 3 stories tall. Jacquelyn designed everything from the interior to the exterior of the house including iron work, exterior paint colors and roof style to interior plumbing fixtures, lighting design, hidden door details and more. The home has an open floor plan that features a 14' kitchen island, marble fireplace design that spans from the floor to the ceiling, foyer wall paneling, a free standing spiral staircase and more.
JL Studio designed this Mediterranean style new construction home from the slab up. The project is located in Lakeshore Estates in Slidell, LA. The home is 10,000 sq.ft. and features floor to ceiling windows with panoramic, seamless views of the lake, balconies and patios off of every room, a master shower with marble walls and 15' ceilings, marble and wood floors throughout, and a home theatre complete with a bar and leather seating.
